Cashback: getting part of your losses back, and the conditions
Cashback returns a percentage of what you lost over a period — a day, a week or a month. At operators such as Doxxbet it may belong to a loyalty scheme or run as a separate promotion. It looks simple; three details decide how much of it you actually receive.
Go to the offerWhat cashback is calculated on
The usual base is net losses: deposits minus withdrawals minus your balance at the end of the period. Sometimes only losses from your own money count, without the bonus balance, and sometimes only on selected games. Illustrative example, not a Doxxbet term. Over a week you deposit €120, withdraw €20 and end the week with €20. Your net loss is €80; at 10% cashback you get €8 back.
How it is paid
| Payout form | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Cash without wagering | The amount lands in your normal balance and can be withdrawn |
| Bonus with wagering | The amount is a bonus — multiplier, maximum bet and deadline apply |
| Loyalty points | Cashback becomes points first, and only then cash or a bonus |
Illustrative example, not a Doxxbet term. €8 of cashback with 5x wagering means €40 of stakes. At 1x it is effectively cash; at 20x it is an ordinary bonus with every usual restriction.
Period and crediting date
Look at when the period closes (Sunday midnight, for instance), when the cashback is credited and by when it must be claimed. Some offers require you to confirm it actively in your profile; otherwise it lapses quietly.
Cashback and responsible play
Cashback reduces a loss; it does not cancel it. Players who start staking more “because part of it comes back” usually end up losing more, not less. The sensible view is to treat cashback as a small discount on entertainment inside limits you set in advance. In Slovakia the Gambling Act gives every player the right to set a monthly limit on stakes and losses, separately for online casino and online gaming-hall games; details are on our responsible gambling page.
Refunds on sports bets
In sports betting, “money back” promotions sometimes refund a stake on a particular outcome — a draw, say, or one losing leg of an accumulator. Such refunds are usually paid as a free bet rather than cash, and a free bet normally returns only the net winnings, not the stake itself. More in our sports betting section.
