Responsible gambling: limits, self-exclusion and help
Bonus terms and responsible play are closely linked. A wagering requirement asks you to stake a certain amount; a sensible budget decides whether you should. This page explains the tools that exist for players at operators such as Doxxbet, with the Slovak rules for readers there and international help for everyone else.
What Slovak law requires of licensed operators
- Online play only after registration, one player account per operator (§ 31 of Act No. 30/2019).
- A check of every login against the self-exclusion register RVO (§ 33(2)).
- At every login, for at least five seconds: the warning that gambling is forbidden under 18, the warning that gambling carries a risk of serious financial loss, your monthly and total stakes and winnings, and links to the help line and the RVO form (§ 32(1)–(2)).
- No loans or credit to players (§ 33(5)).
Monthly limits on stakes and losses
Slovak law gives every player a self-limiting measure: a monthly limit on stakes and on losses, set separately for online casino and online gaming-hall games. A stricter limit takes effect within 24 hours; a looser one only from the seventh day; and a limit can be changed once per calendar month (§ 32(1), (3), (4)). Illustrative example, not a Doxxbet term. With a €150 monthly loss limit, play stops for the month once losses reach €150 — even if a bonus offer would want you to keep going. Set limits before your first deposit, when the decision is easiest.
Bonuses and your budget
Before accepting any offer, compare its turnover with what you would normally stake in a month. If a €50 bonus asks for €1,500 of stakes and you usually stake €300, the bonus is asking you to play five times more than you planned. Declining is always allowed. Our wagering guide shows how to calculate the turnover.
Self-exclusion through RVO
Anyone over 18 can ask to be entered in the Register vylúčených osôb (RVO), run by ÚRHH. The entry covers gaming halls, casinos, betting and online casinos and gaming halls. The law sets no fixed term; removal can be requested no earlier than six months after entry. The full procedure is on our self-exclusion page.

Warning signs
- Playing to win back losses, or with money meant for bills.
- Hiding how much or how often you play.
- Raising limits again and again, or cancelling withdrawals to keep playing.
- Feeling restless or irritable when not playing.
If several apply, a break and a call to a help line are better next steps than any bonus.
