Bet types and how bonus terms treat them

The type of bet you place affects not only your risk but also whether it counts towards a betting bonus. This guide covers the main types you will find at bookmakers such as Doxxbet; which of them the operator offers on a given market is shown on its betting slip.

Single

One selection, one result. A single at odds of 2.10 wins or loses on its own. Singles are the simplest way to meet minimum-odds conditions: if the selection is at or above the minimum, the whole stake counts.

Accumulator

Several selections combined; all must win. Odds multiply, so the potential return grows quickly — and so does the chance of losing. Illustrative example, not a Doxxbet term. Three legs at 1.60, 1.70 and 1.90 give combined odds of about 5.17; €10 would return €51.70 if all three win. In bonus terms, accumulators often count towards wagering only if each leg meets the minimum odds, and an accumulator boost usually requires a minimum number of legs.

System bet

A system bet splits one ticket into several smaller combinations, so not every selection has to win. A 2/3 system, for example, is three doubles from three selections. Each combination is a separate stake. Bonus terms may count system bets differently from simple accumulators, or not at all — the offer's terms say which.

In-play (live) bets

Bets placed while the event is running, with odds changing constantly. In-play markets are fast and can encourage impulsive staking. Some betting bonuses exclude in-play bets from wagering; others accept them with the usual minimum odds.

Cash-out

Many bookmakers let you settle a bet early for a smaller sum. In bonus terms, a cashed-out bet frequently does not count towards wagering, and a free bet usually cannot be cashed out at all. If you are working through a bonus, check this clause before using cash-out.

Frequently asked questions

Do accumulators count towards a betting bonus?
Often, but usually only if each leg meets the minimum odds. The offer's terms decide.
Can I cash out a free bet?
Usually not. Cash-out is commonly unavailable for free bets and cashed-out bets often do not count towards wagering.
What is a system bet?
A ticket split into several combinations, such as three doubles from three selections, so not every selection has to win.
